What are Funnel Cakes

Where Are Funnel Cakes From?

What are Funnel cakes This really does depend who you are and where in the world you are from. We have found that different people who have tried our Funnel Cakes have told us they know the same flavour, however they call it a different name at home, the Finnish version of Funnel Cakes are tippaleipä, and are traditionally served at May Day (Vappu) celebrations, however Spanish people have called them odd shaped Churros and eat them for breakfast with hot milk coffee.

In Austria, the equivalent to funnel cake is called "Strauben" and is made and served (with regional varieties) the same way as among the Pennsylvania Dutch.

Our headquarters are located within the M25 in Harrow, allowing us easy access to the national road and rail network, The Dessert Caterers provide fully equipped and staffed Dessert units for all kinds of outdoor and indoor events nationwide.

Our staff can work from either our own fully compliant mobile kitchen on site, (We have been asked and set up Funnel Cakes at a whole host of venues) or from whatever you requirer us to work, we also work within your needs and will deliver Funnel Cakes to your guests professionally.

Europes #1 American Lifestyle Event held annually in the heart of the UK. Funnel Cakes and the Americana festival made an excellent combination, despite a brief 2 day rain fall visitors to Americana were happy to eat Funnel Cakes and drink lashings of our freshly sqeezed lemonade.
